| My
name is Cynthia Doerner and I have been involved in tennis all my
life. I have been fortunate to have played on the W.T.A (Women's Professional
Tour), and played all over the world for ten years. I competed in
all the Grand Slams many times over, my best singles performances
were a round of sixteen at the French Open and the third round of
Wimbledon three times. In doubles I reached the semi-finals of the
French and Australian Opens.
For the last twelve years I have been coaching here in Australia and prior to that nine years in the U.S.A. where I was Head Womens Tennis Coach at Fresno State and assistant coach at Sierra Sport and Racket Club. I have been invovled with all levels of players, organising and facilitating many junior and adult programs. I have a passion for the game of tennnis and love teaching and helping people to learn and improve their skills. Many of my students have gone on to compete nationally. In the year 2000 my best student was ranked #1 in the 16's in Australia.
